Quilts From our Community

Every two years, West Houston Quilter's Quilt hosts a quilt show to showcase the talents of local quilters.
One look at this quilt and you can guess that it was the BIG winner of the show!

Quilted by Georgina Buschauer

Her inspiration came from some Caryl Bryer Fallert fabric she bought in Paducah.
This is her orginial pattern along with lovely work!  The quilt awards were definitely a winner in my book!
Noella Nukherjee made this quilt for her son's July 4th birthday.

The pattern is from Henry Glass Fabrics

Quilted by Rose Kemp.  She found this top in an old house.  She took off a border and added one.

She spent a year hand quilting the top.  The quilt won a honorable mention award.

Barbara Ann Wafer called her quilt "Scrappy Stars".  The center was designed by Paula Barnes and border designed by Mimi Dietrich.

She loves to applique so added the border and gave the quilt to her son and daughter-in-law--nice gift.  The quilt won a blue ribbon.

Submitted by Cynthia Regone, "Colonial Christmas Coverlet"

The pattern came from "love of quilting" May/June 2001 issue.  It is paper pieced and the applique is her own design

Teresa Rossman, "A Trip in the Country"

Twice Slice Layer Cake pattern--a good fast top--thinking of this to make for my cowboy grandson.

Another Rose Klemp quilt "21st Century Bull's Eye"

She quilted the back of the quilt instead of the front!

Valerie DeRuiter made this "Mystery Stars" from Debbie Caffrey mystery workshop
