"The Coming King" Sculpture Prayer Gardens

We come to the garden for a peaceful, restful morning--
a chance to enjoy the solitude and lift up our prayers.
I don't usually post about religion or religious
features, but this sculpture garden is for all
faiths and believers.

Sitting on top of located on 24.5 acres, in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, right off IH-10.   1,930’ mountain top, located at the same latitude as ISRAEL.

"Twelve Stones" greet visitors as they enter the
gates to the garden--a free trip to the top of the
mountain

"It is Finished" nails of the cross

"Mary, Mother of Jesus"

The Walkway to the empty cross

Come to the Cross

What I found was the fact rocks were provided
for prayer requests--write your prayer and then
add your rock to the garden

Here is one of the gardens of prayers

It is a morning filled with awe and praise!

Here Come The Cowl........................

Skeinwalker (love that name!) which reminds me of 'skinwalkers'--
Anyway, she has some wonderful easy knit cowl patterns
and a bonus--she offers them free!
Explorers Newsletter is her outlet to give you news,
tidbits of knitting, test knits and promotions

This is my second Skeinwalker pattern to knit.
This one is Kalasi--Crescent of the Wave--
I'm using stash malabrigo yarn--
we're on our way to another addiction!

Oh Yes, I DO!

It's not a secret--I like Wine!  It's my
hobby along with my fiber activities.
This past weekend we celebrated all Rose' wines
so many to taste so little time!

The event was held at Horseshoe Bay Resort,
located in the heart of Texas Hill country--
what a good location!
Here is my Rose' shirt--I don't do Pink so
settled with gray with pink lettering--
got to have a shirt to go along with event

Yes, the wines are pink--or Rose'--some
peachy colored--depends on how long the skins are
allowed to sit on the juice.
Our large drinking vessel for those 'tiny' pours
from 45 different wineries

In the background is the main hotel and surrounding
area contains villas--so many amenities!

Tents! Tents! Tents!  Lots of Rose' wine to sample!

Behind the scenes look--this was a perfect
location--we're looking forward to 2019!

Year And Four Months.............

We all have those projects that linger in the stash bin...
some of mine seem "ancient"!  I was so excited to
finally finish this one..

An easy way to make a
quilt is a block a month--but that does take a
whole year or longer to wrap it up
as a Quilt.  These blocks came from

She is hosting another BOM tis year
I don't do Pink but somehow I had these
fabrics in my stash--found some green too
and tried to use ALL the pink I could find.
Someone will like it---I hope!

One Tuesday in Magnolia

The sun finally came out to make our day even better!
On this Tuesday several of the expatcher group gathered
to share their projects--some ongoing, some
very much aged!

Annette was working on her small blocks, using
her birthday fat quarters of naturals.

Judy found these trees in the bottom of her stash bin--
object--finish two small hangings

A close-up of Brenda's purple/green quilt that was
just quilted--lovely!

Brenda decided to make a shamrock quilt, using a
table runner pattern--she added blocks!

The quilting of Brenda's Valentine quilt below

"Love" this!!

Judy is making baby blankets with flannel--
two pieces of 45" sandwiched and blanket
stitched by hand

This is the quilted pattern on Camilla's quilt
below

Nine Patch mixup, I call it!
Two nine patches, one with dark in the corners,
the other with light in the corners

cut across diagonally and vertically
and then mix up!

what about a happy crayon quilt!!

Ready to go on Judy's long arm

Talk about complicated--oh whoa!
these will go into a table runner
Always a good day to spend with expatchers!
